Gold ( གསེར། ) According to Tibetan old text, there are seven metal such as gold, silver, copper, iron , zinc, tin and lead. They are called in Sanskrit Dhatus ( dha =to sustain), simply because they prevent senility and thinness, and cure fever and other diseases, and thus sustain the system. Tibetan alchemy describes gold is red when melted, but white when cut into two. it leaves a saffron -like tint, when rubbed upon a touch stone. Types of gold Gold is of two kinds namely, the first type is full of sixteen colors, whereas the second type has combined in itself only fourteen colors. Tibetan and Indian alchemy consider the first is purest, best, and has property of preventing and curing senility, and other type has the property of curing all kinds of disease, if suitably purified, incinerated, and applied as medicine for internal use with suitable accompaniments.
